- Makgeolli, minuman fermentasi berwarna putih susu.

- Cheongju atau “ arak jernih”, terbuat dari beras yang di fermentasikan, disaring, kemudian di simpan hingga kadar alkoholnya mencapai 15- 20%.

- Soju atau “arak yang dibuat dari proses pembakaran” dibuat dari proses distilasi dengan bahan campuran beras, jelai atau ubi jalar. Warnanya jernih dan kandungan alkoholnya 25-30%. Tidak berbau namun sedikit pahit rasanya.

 

- Andong soju, soju yang berasal dari andang propinsi Gyeongsang Utara. Untuk mematangkan soju ini diletakkan di bawah tanah yang bersuhu 15°C selama 100 hari. Kandungan alkoholnya 45%. Pada masa lalu digunakan sebagai obat pencernaan dan luka – luka.

 

- Dongdongju, bermakna “ arak dengan butir – butir yang mengapung”, berasal dari propinsi Gyeonggi. Memiliki ciri – ciri adanya butir – butir beras ketan yang mengapung karena tidak di saring. Rasanya manis dan terbuat dari beras ketan yang difermentasikan dengan ragi dalam tempayan.

 

- Insamju atau “arak gingseng” , yang terbuat dari beras yang dicampur ragi dan akar gingseng atau bisa juga dengan cara merendam gingseng dalam soju selama 6 bulan. Insamju berasal dari Geumsan propinsi Chungcheong Selatan. Insamju berguna juga sebagai minuman obat yang dapat menurunkan penyakit jantung.

 

- Sogokju, arak  beras fermentasi yang memiliki kandungan alkohol 18%.

- Gyodong Beopju, arak beras beraroma herbal dan bunga – bunga.

 

- Baegilju (“ arak seratus hari” ) atau Sinseonju (“arak panjang umur” ) adalah minuman pilihan istana Dinasti Joseon. Terbuat dari beras ketan, gandum bunga seruni, azalea, buah – buahan dan magnolia yang dimasak selama 100 hari dan memiliki kandungan alokohol 16 – 18%.

- Munbaeju, arak yang terbuat dari jewawut dan sorghum yang dimasak dengan ragi selama 6 bulan. Kandungan alkohol melebihi 40%. Pembuatannya yang rumit dan hanya dibuat oleh keluarga tertentu maka, pemerintah korea mendaftarkannya sebagai warisan budaya tak terbenda nomor 86.

- Igangju, arak denga rasa buah pir, kulit manis, dan madu yang dimasak selama satu bulan.
